Oh noes!! My PS3 has crapped itself!! DX

I'm so pissed off about it. As I've just said, my PS3 has broken down today and I'm pretty sure that nothing can be done about it. :\
I started it up as usual, I went into the PSStore to check out what was new and after about 5 seconds, it froze, then shut itself down. Now whenever I try to turn it on it stays on for no less than three seconds, then turns itself off with the red standby light flashing. plus the PS3 has my copy of GTA4 stuck in there, so I dunno how I'm gonna get that out.

I could send it off to Sony to get it fixed, but the chances are that it'd just break down again in the next few months, PLUS they actually charge you for fixing something that they fucked up in the first place.
I could trade it in with the warranty at Harvey Norman (the warranty has about two months left on it ) but I'd trade it in for a 40 gig with no backwards compatibility (I still love my PS2 games!! D, only two usb slots, none of my save data on my HDD AND I'd lose about $400 because my bro spent $1000 on it.
At the moment I think my best bet is to just get a full refund and just buy a completely new one plus some new controllers and stuff.

I'd say I got a solid 120 hours of gaming out of it, which, when you compare it to the at least 500 hours of gaming I got on my PS2, is pretty measly.

I think what I'm going to do now though is buy an external HDD, take the HDD and external HDD to a friend's house with a PS3, plug them both into their PS3 and chuck all of my Save data on the EXHDD.


Still, it's a pretty fudged up thing at the moment :\
